CEA Certification and Course Completion
Completing a course, demonstrating a skill and earning a professional credential mean different things. CEA keeps those achievements separate so their meaning stays clear.
Course completion
A completion record identifies the training a learner has successfully finished under that course’s requirements. Civil Estimating Foundations completion does not award the CEA Certified seal or the Earthwork Takeoff Specialist title.
Independent assessment
Assessment asks a learner to demonstrate the required skill with appropriate evidence. Attending lessons or obtaining a numerical score alone does not establish every professional capability. The applicable standard determines what must be demonstrated.
Professional credential
The CEA credential framework is intended to recognize demonstrated competency within a defined scope. It is separate from training completion and is not government licensure, engineering authority or a promise of employment.
The initial planned specialist direction is earthwork takeoff and a professional quantity handoff. It does not certify independent pricing of a complete earthwork estimate. This candidate website does not offer credential assessment, issuance or public verification.
